Refund Policy – ScrapMate
At ScrapMate, we aim to provide a seamless and satisfactory scrap selling experience.
We understand that there may be circumstances where a refund is necessary. Please read our refund policy carefully.
1. Service Cancellation by User
Before Pickup:
- If you cancel your scheduled scrap pickup at least 2 hours before the scheduled time, you are eligible for a full refund of any service charges (if applicable).
Last-Minute Cancellations:
- Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled pickup may not be eligible for a full refund.
- Partial refunds may be granted at the discretion of ScrapMate based on operational costs already incurred.
2. Service Cancellation by ScrapMate
- In case ScrapMate cancels a scheduled pickup due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be provided a full refund of any pre-paid service charges.
- You may also opt to reschedule your pickup at no extra cost.
3. Payment Discrepancies
If there is a dispute regarding:
- Incorrect weight
- Pricing issues
- Incomplete pickup
You may raise a complaint within 24 hours of the service.
Our team will investigate and, if applicable, initiate a partial or full refund within 7 business days.
4. Refund Method & Timeline
- Refunds (if approved) will be processed within 7–10 business days.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the transaction.
5. Non-Refundable Items
- Convenience fees, app usage charges, or third-party processing charges may be non-refundable unless explicitly stated.
